The Dor Mar varsity team advanced its record to 5-2 and represented the LVYSA spectacularly in a decisive win over the LCSA Guardian team Saturday night. Dor Mar won the game 14-1. Everyone up and down the order hit the ball Saturday night. Dor Mar's offense was led by Tanner Nethers with 2 doubles, Jared Fracker with 3 singles and Tommy Wogan with 2 doubles and 1 single. Tanner Nethers pitched 3 nearly perfect innings striking out 8 batters and only giving up one hit. Nate Wheeland did an outstanding job in relief and pitched the last 2 innings. The game ended after 5 innings with the mercy rule being invoked.

LVYSA Croton Craft Awards won the 2008 HSYAA Pre-season Varsity Tournament. The team finished the weekend of play with a 6-0 record. Croton Craft defeated Vaughn’s 5-3 in eight full innings in the championship. The team consists of: Mason Baker, Austin Hunter, Scott Morris, Joey McClain, Blake Butler, Nathan Maddox, Tyler Nethers, Spencer Bell, Cody Ketter, Lee Andrews and Drew Morrison. All players contributed to the weekend victories. The team is coached by Doug Morrison, Sam Baker, Joe McClain and Jamie Hunter.
